About us

The person behind the promise.

Ron W. Wilson is a licensed insurance advisor and annuity specialist with 20 years in the business. He works with a nationwide network of financial advisors — licensed in all 50 states — who share one standard: education first, real side-by-side comparisons, and never a signature on the first call.
Tennessee Annuity Rates started in Tennessee — that’s the name — and grew into a national resource for people in their 50s, 60s, and 70s who want retirement income they can’t outlive, without getting taken advantage of along the way.

What we believe

Three things we’d tell our own parents.

Income beats rate-chasing

The flashiest number in the annuity world is rarely the one that matters. What matters is the monthly check you can’t outlive — sized to your life, from a company strong enough to keep the promise.

Education before anything

Nobody should buy what they can’t explain to their spouse. Our guides, calculator, and rate pages exist so you understand the decision before anyone asks for your business.

No pressure, in writing

Every advisor in our network agrees to our standard: no same-day signings, full fee disclosure, and comparisons from more than one insurer — from carriers rated B+ or better by A.M. Best, always with the rating shown.
How we work

Straight answers about our business model.

Tennessee Annuity Rates is an independent education and referral service. When you reach out, we connect you with one licensed advisor from our network in your state — never a call list, and your information is never sold. The guides and consultations are free to you; if you eventually purchase an annuity, the insurance company pays the advisor — and any compensation is disclosed to you before you sign anything.
Do your homework on us, too: start with the 7 questions to ask any advisor — and ask them in your first conversation with ours.

Talk to someone who has to earn your trust first.

Educational information only — not tax, legal, or investment advice. Annuity guarantees are backed by the financial strength and claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance company.
